History: 1999 - 2001

 

November 1999
The Hapag-Terminal Booster Club of Cuxhaven is founded out of the Steubenhoeft/Emigration History Task Force. The Club supportes the local institutions and serves in coordinating activities carried out in the terminal and in further developing utility concepts for cultural and tourist functions.

 

 

2001
The first extensive phase of renovating the hanseatic hall and the rotunda is completed. The only historically preserved and fully operable  passenger facility in Europe presents itself, once again, in grand old style for cruise guests and other audiences.
