Pre-Cruise Program: Farewell Cuxhaven - Departure to America

 

Your program begins at 6:00 PM on the eve of your embarkation with a banquet and a friendly get-together with other passengers in preparation for the trip.  The next morning you will visit localities steeped in emigration  history. Retrace the steps of the Confederate General John F. Wagener, who originally hailed from the village of Sieven. Visit the farmstead of Johann zur Lehe in Paddingbuettel. Take in the elegance of the tiffany studio located in Altenbruch's, Gehben Villa. The romanesque fortressed church of Mulsum is just one of the many places of interest along the way.  After lunch a tour through the historic rotunda of the Hapag-Terminal and an exhibit entitled, "Departure to America" await you, before Germany's shores bid you farewell with a musical accompaniment.
